I use Calmira. I've downloaded the latest version about 2 days ago,
and indeed, its seems larger then the last time..

Why do I like it? well, for a start, it is more useable then Program
manager. Its also better then the Explorer task-bar in Windows 95.
I am talking from a user interface point of view. The Start menu
is completly costumable, using a text-file instead of a mess of files
and directories using LFN like in Windows 95. There's also support for
4DOS descriptions. The options in the menu that I can get by right-clicking
on the desktop are actually useable. When compared to Program manager,
you get tons more of efficentcy. When compared to the Win9x task-bar,
you get smoother and better options.

The disadvantage, is in the programming point of view. Indeed,
latly its becoming bloated, and getting more GPFs.

But so far (in my standards) Calmira have managed to give an extremly
good user interface. If you'll ask me, this is how the Win95 interface
should have been designed.

. and it would only be better if he optimize the code alittle. :)
