Hi;
  I've used Calmira II Release 3.02 for some time now, with no problems.
I'm running it on two systems;

* 486-66, 36 MB RAM, 500MB HD
* Pentium, 16MB RAM, 1GB HD

  While there may be some problems with Calmira, it's something you can
fix yourself, if you can program in Delphi.

  I have yet to see Microsoft make available the source code to either
PROGMAN.EXE, or the Win 95 shell. BTW, I'm running Calmira as the shell
in Windows 95, with no problems.

  Microsoft gave the public the option of choosing which program they
wanted to use as their desktop. That's why they have the SHELL= line in
SYSTEM.INI

  For those who are really adventerous, try using COMMAND.COM as your
shell. You don't get multi-tasking, but there's nothing like having a
DOS environment with DPMI, and access to 36MB of RAM for base memory! I
tried this about a year ago on Windows 3.1, and got it to work, after
some tewaking of the SYSTEM.INI file (it's more than just
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM).

  Anyways, Microsoft doesn't provide the source code for COMMAND.COM
either. I developed a replacement for PROGMAN.EXE using Visual BASIC,
and used it prior to Calmira. Calmira takes less resources than the VB
Shell I created, so on my desktop it stays.

  What PROGMAN replacements are others using? Let's hear your review on
them, and where they can be located.
