Interesting idea replacing explore.exe with calmira
I'm currently using Talisman instead of explore in win98
I have 32 MB RAM on this machine and it's a bit shy of ultimate, but I
rarely have any freezes, once in the week I've been using it. Runs slower
than explore.exe but the interface is much nicer looking and much more
configurable. I like it better and am willing to sacrifice some speed in
the interface. It doesn't slow down the actual applications any.
I did try the calmira, on another machine I am configuring for a friend,
but that machine had only 8MB of RAM and I think that is the problem,
calmira seems Memory hungry. Otherwise I thought it was a neat idea.
I got it at Lighttek software, www.lighttek.com ( I think?) I posted the
URL a couple days ago though.
