[SURVPC] DOS Sound Card Drivers??

  I am trying to locate some kind of generic DOS sound card drivers for
a laptop with an ESS1688 sound card.  Are there any diagnostic programs
that could even tell me what I need for the card I have??  I can get old
Win3.11 drivers, but I could only install them from Win3.11 even though
they are basically DOS drivers.
