At the risk of givine an inappropriate answer,
may I suggest Opera as an alternative?  It is
light, fast, quite suitable for smaller/slower
environments, and is generally compatible with
NetScape.  It can use the same plug-in DLLs,
for such things as RealPlayer and ShockWave,
that NetScape does.
