Perhaps it's the same kind of I/O cable that AMIGA uses (I know I stated
earlier that they were the same as normal IDE - but apparently they have
both the normal and some weird format).
If you could count the pins it might give us a lead. You'll probably need
some kind of special card, but if it's the same I/O as the AMIGA has then
there should be info on the net about it.
Counting the pins on my "AMIGA format" AMIGA HD doesn't seem very easy, and
that might be the same for these CDs.
You can probably find information about "2.5" IDE" (but that isn't the
correct name IMHO but that's what AMIGA owners call it) using ex.
http://www.google.com/ so you can see if it's the same. I just managed to
screw my AMIGA back together and I don't feel like opening it up again -
they were obviously not designed for opening.
BTW: Does anyone know if the parallel port on an AMIGA is diffrent from a
PC? Using a seriell cable is rather slow (ca 10K) when transporting 150MB.
According to 50% fo the documentation I have it is, and the other 50% says
it isn't. (I only have two files but that was all I could find on aminet).
