I suggest trying out the Microsoft LAN manager, obtainable via this link: ftp://ftp.bwl.uni-kiel.de/pub/MSDos/communications/network/lanmanager/ (or search http://ftpsearch.ntnu.no/ with "lan manager" as the key word...btw, get ALL these files: drivers1, drivers2, setup1 ...)
