A few years ago (during a rather long, dry winter cold spell) the deer
were hungry enough to munch on my neighbor's junipers! They've
ruined a few of my own younger trees as well. I bought a "deer repellent"
scent product, probably had the odor of wolf urine, which is a major
warning sign to the deer...

Most recently I've had two wild turkey visit my bird feeders, picking
and scratching at the ground for dropped corn & seed... at least they
keep the squirrels away while they're scavenging out there! ;-) All
this is not too unusual in the wooded hills of southwestern Connecticut.

Regards, Pete
