You don't need any luck for this: just get Netdial with its script, it
contains one also for Compuserve. ( Or send me a mail off list and I send
you the script and a batch file for dial in and login). So you can use any
DOS internet program with Compuserve.

I think you misunderstand Ed: as I see he doesn't want to use CIS as an ISP
but a BBS (just like with DOSCIM), however, through an IP connection. it is
claimed to be possible and you can use DOSCIM for it together with two
special utilities. It migh have been useful in rural areas without a local
CIS point but with a local ISP. The problem is that you cannot reach
Compuserve's proprietary Host Micro Interface forums this way. So there
might be half a dozen forums reachable by such a telnet access.
