Hi Bob,

}- Ah, THAT explains it! I was wondering what trick they'd missed!
It is amazing and wonderful. Sometimes I go there just to drink
a Coke and be enamored of the ambience. The smell of the
oil...the sound of the wrenches turning... My bother (and his
fellow mechanics there) begins diagnosing a car by listening to
it, then driving it, then examining it with various hand tools.
They are not uneducated grunts, but true artisans at work. As
you can probably tell I have infinite respect and admiration for
people wise enough and self-aware enough to know they don't want
to work with computers and find the occupation where they can
carry their work to a true art. Not everyone was born to work a
computer. We should all be very *glad* about that.

Of course :) and I've nothing against the non-American
automakers, they help keep Detroit on their toes. Copmetition
(shades of the Micro$soft lawsuit) is a good thing in all
industries.

Hahahahahahaha!

But FORD, oh you poor baby, no wonder! I definitely understand,
and you have my condolences. My brother says: "FORD spelled
backwards is DROF and stands for Driver Returned On Foot." He
also says FORD is single-handedly credited for keeping mechanics
everywhere gainfully employed.
}- The money saved since has gone into computers.
}- I'm thinking about building a carb into one.
Hahahahahahaha! :)
