Steve Wozniak helped start the company as he wanted to help people be
incharge of thier own life. He was not interested in big corporate sales,
making piles of money, or being in control. How am I sure of this?
Having joined gobs of email lists when I first went on line - I found out
there were many near famous/quiet famous people on my PowerBook list.
Someone had a signiture slaming IBM. I wrote a reply stating IBM's
contribution to the PowerPC chip, and other matters wrt Apple. Also
mentioned was the futility of trying to promote something by juvinile name
calling/slurring slogans.
In response, I got a really nice personal email from the Woz stating "I wish
I wrote that email myself". He went on explaining his own personal motives.
These were also expressed in interviews - and more importantly - in his
personal work and endeavors since he left Apple.
He left as he was not comfy w/ the corporate environment and he knew he was
richer beyond any one person's wildest dream. He wanted a happy family life
too. Having gotten these - how could he - or anyone else say he was
rolyally screwed?
Sure there were some biz deals and notsonice things that happened. What
human endeavor does not have these?
