Can you just pass them to me? Things flying towards me are alarming and
i'm not a good catch.
What kind of things and why?

yeah, but you need a parallel or serial port and the thing I had didn't
have one. Then, I've never understood how you get the drivers installed? I
think I've heard of pushing through the cable, but I haven't ever seen
it. If it's possible to hook up a null modem cable and send files through
to a machine with only a freshly formatted hard drive, I'd like to know.
   It's possible it wasn't a t1200, I'll grant you that, I've fooled with
so many laptops in my quest for my own portable machine that I could be
getting two mixed up. That particular machine got junked, actually.
I did eventually get a laptop I like. It's not a dream machine by today's
standards but it IS my baby and it's there for me when the main system is
down. It's an NEC versa e 486 w/20MB RAM, 250MB HDD, floppy, color screen,
ethernet nic and 14.4 modem. Not too shabby for a laptop I think. By
running w95 on it I can transfer documents worked up on the main machine
and work them in the same software on the small one. I sacrifice a lot of
space, but not too bad. w95 installed on this is only about 75MB, leaving
room for a full internet suite, corel wp8, digital camera photo software,
some games and a few small files.

I'd like it if you have time to put together a basic exercise instructing
how to do this and what is required. I'd say send it private, but I'm
betting everyone else would find it interesting. I'd like to try it,
perhaps between a 486 on just DOS and a windows machine (but in DOS probably)
