Hi,
Usually I just lurk, but I felt like adding some input to this thread. I
just use whatever OS I feel like depending on my mood I guess. I'd probably
use all of 'em if I could afford the commercial ones too. I guess QNX is
coming out with a downloadable RTOS soon. That could be interesting..
should work on fairly low-end hardware I think.
I saw Or Botton was talking about DOS and asking about a DOS that might be
more like Linux. I'm always looking for free stuff, and one thing I came
across quite some time ago (that I thought looked interesting), is TSX-32.
This is said to be similar to 'DOS' but it's multi-user, multi-tasking,
etc., and there's a shareware version of it that can be downloaded. I've
never tried it but maybe somebody here would like to check it out. URL is
http://www.sandh.com/tsx32.htm and the 'free' or 'demo' or whatever they
call it is called tsx-lite.
I'd be interested to hear what anyone thinks about it. Not sure why I
never actually installed it myself.. I downloaded the files before and read
up on it.. maybe I was just being lazy.. dunno :)
