I know of two companies developing their own versions of X86-DOS - one
claims that they can run all Windozes applications too.

Ain't seen the Alpha version, let alone the Beta version, yet so I can
say if it is smoke & mirrors or the real deal... Proof will be when I
can use it on a 1986 era DOS platform and the latest Intel or AMD
platforms. I Ain't gonna hold my breath either on those two companies...

As Yolanda said it is really tough to make stuff work when it has those
darn embedded graphics chips or for that matter embedded anything...
Then you get the older proprietary X86 boxes from various low-volume
high-end companies that are being tossed out to make way for Winblows
NT/2K. Those are a barrel of fun to bring back into the world of
non-proprietary OS (like Burroughs, Banyon, etc...)

Aren't SURVPC's a barrel of laughs!!!
