Have anyone tried BeOS?
I've downloaded the free version.. so far it seems quite good:
Quite stable, didnt crash on me just yet. Good multitasking.
And -alot- of availble software! (most of them free).
Bad points: It feels abit "sluggy" when using buttons and the menus.
The title bar of its windows is abit annoying.. I prefer it to be
all over the top section of the windows instead of just part of it..
Also, the freeware version has a few display refresh bugs, but i'm
sure its fixed in the commercial version.
Last, and biggest problem:
No text interface at all!.. I started fine, but just like
in the Macintosh, after awhile I feel confined.. I want my shell! :)
Luckly, there's a Bash like shell availble for download for BeOS.
Its not DOS like, and not "beyond the GUI" like in Windows and Linux,
but its availble, and thats good enough.
So anyway thats how it was on my P350. Did anyone try it on a survpc?
