Hello Folks:
I have recently acquired a Toshiba Satelite Pro 400 Laptop, a 75 Mhz
Pentium machine with 16 MB of RAM.
It has a 33.6 kbs PCMIA modem, which I have not yet attempted to install.
I suppose it will not work like a "real" modem, and I will probably need
to install drivers that only work with the Windows 95 operating system that
is installed in this machine.
Question: Are there any PCMIA modems that are like real modems? What I
mean to ask here is this: are there any PCMIA modems that will work in DOS
mode? I mean real DOS, not just an artificial DOS box.
Do all PCMIA modems require drivers that require Windows to be running?
All the best,
Sam Heywood
