Hello Everyone,
I decided that my monthly electric bill is too high, so over the course
of the last week, I have removed my old full height Seagate SCSI-1
drives. They get real hot, and they don't hold very much data, only 3xx
megs, and I am not using all of my main drive, or the remaining extra
drive. Although, If I get cold I may re-install them, sometimes I would
put my feet in fron of the vent on my computer, to warm
them....seriusly, I've done that :-)
I don't know how much this will cut down my electric bill. I think the
main culprit is me falling asleep with my halogen light on :-)
Anybody have any experience with CD-RW drives? I wouldn't mind getting
one, preferably SCSI. Any problems with hooking one up to a 486,
hardware, or software wise? I may mount it externally so I could easily
disconnect it from one computer and use it on another. Are they
normally wide scsi or narrow?
Any one know of a good place to ask questions on the web or usenet?
