Poor Karen -
You've been fighting with that hard drive for so long now! May I make a
suggestion? Pack up that bad boy and send it to a tech friend or someone on
the list (the closer to you the better - for shipping charges) and have
them partition and format it. They can then tell you what head, cylinders
etc. it is set to. Then you can pop it back into your machine - set the
heads and cylinders to match and finally be done with it.

If by chance it still doesn't work - then you know you have a bios or other
problem and NOT a hard drive problem.

Just want to see you come out of the woods.
