This drive hasn't been formated yet (that's also why R Wesley Stapleton
couldn't see his drive in Windows). "format d:" will do the trick.

This is the extended partition that you need to create logical partitions
of (such as d: e: f: and so forth).

I'll be honest I haven't kept up with your troubles, but I really can't see
what the problem should be.

How to add a new harddrive to your system:

1 Put it physically in (insert cables, make sure it's set correctly for
master-slave)
2 Use FDISK to create:
   a A primary partition
b An extended partition (use all that you can)
c Logical partitions in the extended partitions (until no more can be made)
3 Format all the new drives
4 Install the OS of your choice

As I see it you have made it to 2b (and made one logic partition). I will
not say the exact numbers in FDISK (too risky) but you should go into the
alternative "create new logical drive" or something like that.

I suggest around 500MB drives for FAT16, others will suggest other values
(from 128 to 2048).

Nothing bad at all. In fact I enourage you to use the rest. It can NOT use
more than you have (unless there's a BIOS problem and that's so unlikely it
can be ignored - especially since you have backups).
