Dear folks,

Hayes may not make those modems any more, but Intel made a
line of external modems with the nifty extruded aluminum cases.  I
have one; it's a 14.4Kbps, bought new, and has given me years of
service.  It's not my primary modem any more, but still serves
admirably for my Mac IIci. (Also a SURVivor Personal Computer. :)
