Only a guess of course, but perhaps there's a problem with the FIFO (or
perhaps a lack of one?). I can (when I've got EPPPD 0.7 alpha working
again) send it to you so you can test with a lower FIFO trigger level (in
reality adding support for that and getting EPPPD working again and 0.7 is
going to be finished, more or less anyway - saving 10K is enough this time
around).
