Below is an email from the Nettamer list by David Colston and my answer.

My purpose for posting this to the SURVPC list is to gather input from
a larger number of DOS internet users.

Comments anyone?

David:

I agree you cannot build an appication until you have a clear set of
specifications.

Obvioulsy, myself and, many others would like you to offer a standalone
 DOS-based "socket".

How can the present users of Nettamer and other DOS-based "socket"
applications be of assistance to you in gathering the necessary
information?

Between the Nettamer and SURVPC list sthere are many people presently
using various versions of Nettamer. I'm sure some of these same people
also have experiences with other DOS-based applications that allow
editing of email, receiving of email, and storing of emails in some
form of a flat file listing or relational database.

"Uncle Dave" please give us a list of some of the things your
interested in learning and I for one will spend time researching them.
I hope others will join in and we can gather a lot of useful
information for you to make a decision in favor of this project.

I'll also copy this email and post it to the SURVPC list too.
