Hello,
I have a Pentium 120. It was happily running Windows 95 until one day
the power went out... the UPS kicked injust fine and we were running
along... anyway.. the UPS ran through it's cycle.. and I didn't get the
machine shutdown before the UPS died... I had AIM, telnet open... when the
power came back later... I was getting repeated IFSMGR blue screens... and
it got so bad I had to re-install (no big deal didn't loose much)... did
an fdisk and format.. and used the recovery CD that came with the syytem
to reload it. (this worked fine for months).. but on the initial bootup..
IFS or else VFAT errors... ARG! ok let's try win 98.. fdisk & format
done.. then install a barebones Windows 98 cd... it was working for about
a day, now I just get unable to load vmm32.vxd and the system won't load.
It started out that if I hit the RESET button the computer when I got that
error, it would then boot, but it seems to have gotten to a point now
where it won't even boot. A completel re-install does nothing.. same
exact error. Any ideas?
Matt
