Unzipped, ed.exe is 138 kB. Using it together with Net-Tamer I never have
had problems with its size. If you want to edit large e-mail messages with
ED, you'd better have some high memory though. ED uses EMS, if it can find
it.

A quote from ntr.doc :
NTReader is a mail/news reader for use with Dave Colston's excellent
Net-Tamer program. NTReader does not connect to the internet itself, it
does not download or upload messages, all of that is left to Net-Tamer.
What NTReader provides is a more flexible and friendly way to read and
reply to messages.
NTR is still in its beta stages, but lately there are no serious problems
anymore. I like NTR very much and never use N-T's own mailreader
(reader.exe). There will be a definitive NTR alpha version in due time.
If you want to try NTR beta, you'll have to contact the author Mark Cole

There is also an NTR user mailing list. To subscribe, send a blank email
