David:

Sorry to hear of your illness. Your information confirms rumors I have
seen over the past few months. I can relate to the difficulties you
mentioned below since I have two work related disabilities (a violent
allergy to petrochemical vapors & RSI - repetitive stress injury - in
both arms & both hands.)

Below you said: "... At any rate, I've been told that things will get
back to normal in June. I cannot promise that Net-Tamer will be the
ultimate DOS program, but I have not reached the end of the line on
development."

I really hope that the result of your work on the Nettamer source code will
be a standalone DOS-based PPP dialer, which is sold without the other
compiled applications in the past and present versions of Nettamer. This is
a product we first discussed in Summer of 1997. There is clearly still a
market for this type of an application - even more so than before when you
consider the larger number of DOS-based computers daily used in non-North
American locations.

The difficulty, now, is that clear competition for a standalone DOS-based PPP dialer
product has show upon on the SURVPC mailing list. I recommend you review the past two
weeks of email on that list. Folks are finding positive results with that new product.

Hopefully your physical recovery will not be delayed so that you loose out on this new
marketplace. Especially since you basically built the market for DOS-based internet
usage with your small memory size Nettamer product line.

Maybe this is the time to consider taking a more supervisoring role in the
evolution of Nettamer and turn over the day-to-day coding to someone else.
I am sure that there are knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy programmers
who would be willing to sign an enforceable business agreement with you and your wife
to protect your Nettamer business and source code assets. That way you and
your wife would be able to participate in future revenues from the evolution of
Nettamer products.

That would allow you to focus your energy on recovery and know your loyal user base is
being served in a more timely manner.

I am sure that between the Nettamer & SURVPC mailing lists there are quality people
who would be willing to set up a formal business relationship with you and your wife.

IMO this is an option that you and your wife should be seriously considering.
