To Sam and Yolanda:
Thanks to you both for your replies. I have it fixed now, after carefully
rebuilding the registry, re-installing all the virtual drivers, and
re-optimizing end-to-end. I've got about 48 hours of testing on it now
without a glimmer of problem. Without the original install CD, I'm left
with not too many choices beyond the actual search-and-edit procedure,
accompanied by backups of crucial files. What I was looking for was an
actual interpretation of the error msg(s). I was kind of surprised when
none of the "experts" at PCSOFT were able to respond intelligently. My
best guess is that these errors occurred during an interaction between the
virtual driver(s) .vxd's and hardware memory.. I'm thankful to have 2
dos-based machines to fall back on during times such as this. Thanks again.
Tommy
