Hello Friends:

Many thanks to all of you for your input on this subject. Unfortunately
I have not yet come across an article that provides adequate assurance
of easy and safe removal. I haven't yet learned much of anything about
how to do things with the system registry editor. I'm afraid to mess
with things I don't understand unless I am absolutely certain they can't
do me any harm.

I did go there to take a look at it. This might be a good solution for
those running WIN98. I would like to uninstall MSIE from a WIN95 machine.
Other things I would like to uninstall safely include Windows Messaging,
MicroSoft Outlook, Dial-up Networking, and NotePad. There are some much
better programs to replace all of these. When one goes into the Control
Panel and clicks on the add/remove programs ikon, he will not even find
the programs he really dislikes listed among those offered for the option
of automagical removal. Consumers should organize to put together and
support some kind of standards committee. The committee would officially
disapprove of and to recommend against the use of any software that cannot
be easily removed once it is installed. If consumers would just simply
support such a committee, then software developers such as MicroSoft and
AOL would have to clean up their act. Does anyone else want to step up
onto this soapbox?

All the best,

Sam Heywood
