1. None of the large OS/GUIs have a JVM inside them (but I would assume Sun
Solaris has)
2. Java is a standard, a company that don't make a JVM that fullfills that
standard might make it possible for a Java program to do things it
shouldn't be able to. An example of a company that (earlier anyway) had a
faulty JVM is Microsoft.
