Not to worry, this is not another post in the ``Help! smtp authentication''
thread! Thought some of you might appreciate dos software that is or
will support all the smtp authentication we have been discussing.

The author of fdsmtpop, Yury Semenov, has released version 3 of his mail
transport program, which supports both pop-before-smtp and
the newer AUTH CRAM-MD5 authentication. I tested the newer AUTH CRAM-MD5
authentication and it seemed to work, although Yury speculates that
the current version ``probably has all sorts of bugs''.

He is limited to testing his code with a dos emulator. I believe he
would be happy to get feedback from interested users, as he works out the bugs.

Get his program at:
        http://zipper.paco.net/~yury/freedos.html

It will be listed as fdsmtpop030.zip or a later version, if he produces
one.
