Me thinks Oliver's power unit problem was just a very good example of
a "SurvPC" issue: precisely because it was of a nature of "what for"
one is taking all the trouble with all sorts of odd things in all
sorts of situations and locations where you just can't use the throw-
away mentality fostered by a false meaning of "technological
innovation".
