That would be wonderful, John. They threw out all the literature on this
machine before I could get hold of it.
A few additional notes & corrections:
The version of DOS on this machine is "Compaq DOS version 3.31"; I had
incorrectly said MS-DOS 3.1.
The HDD is over 42 MBs. I discovered that there is an additional
20 MB logical drive "D" (after checking with FDISK). There are just *two*
small errors on this drive amounting to only about *4k* of damage! Not
bad for its age. What probably helped was an old, large note taped
onto the front of the machine *commanding* the user to PARK HEADS before
turning it off... ;-)
The controller card has 6 switches on it. If we don't need to access
a BIOS/CMOS setting, then maybe the correct setting of those switches
is the key. Currently, the only switch #2 is turned forward. If you
can find the information on the controller card switches, I bet we might
get what we're looking for there... ;-)
