Would anyone have a good answer on this one ?:

I think it's basically not a problem but I simply have no experience,
using dial-up all the time.

My intuitive answer would be just to install the appropriate "crynwr"
[?? was it this?] packet driver TSR; and maybe a WATTCP.cfg with the
appropriate network parms ?

And isn't the whole shabang even included in the DR-DOS full monty ?
(have to have another look at it...)
