Dunno what software whomever is using, but I'm writing this using Arachne installed to run with a NIC and my cable modem.
If you want a "how to" on getting DOS connections with cable modems, you might want to download the latest version of Arachne just to get the one I wrote that Michael included within the package, along with all the other "how to"s. I run a mix of DOS 5.0 & 6.22, primarily because the NIC required me to use EMM386 from DOS 6.x ... With Arachne I didn't have to "add" anything; just had to make certain the NIC driver got installed at the right time, and epppd is built into Arachne, along with BOOTP [which DCHP? DHCP? is backwards compat to]. It took me longer to get up the courage to do it, than it took to setup config/autoexec and switch the setup on Arachne. l.d. -- Arachne V1.70;rev.3, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/ To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
