Take a look at http://www.macwindows.com/tutorial.html for some mac-centric
ideas. I suppose you could use some of the AIM/IRC clients that let you pass
files, though that's a tad cumbersome.

If the PIII has plenty of oomph, you could run a Mac emulator on it and use
Apple's native file sharing capabilites. See
http://www.macwindows.com/macemul.html I used Basilisk, and it essentiall
provided a virtual Mac Quadra under Windows. I was amazed that it was able
to view the network and function rather well. I wouldn't try using it for
any serious work, but it can share a Windows/FAT directory. It is a royal
pain to set up though, so you'll need to be patient!
