Howard (and the list[s]),

Good news! I got what I needed from my guy at
ActionWeb (who host our site), and I have enabled
digest mode (easy when you know how).

I'm copying this to the LifeRaft list and the main
list so that those others who have a digest requirement
can take advantage of this:

To subscribe to the digest version of the SurvPC list,
send a message to one of the following addresses:
1) you are sending the message from the address you want
   subscribed:
   [EMAIL PROTECTED]
2) you are sending the message for address "A" but you
   want to subscribe address "B":
   [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(TLD [top level domain] = com/net/org/edu/gov/...)
in this example, use your e-mail address, but with
the "@" changed to "=" like this:
   [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Then, when the list software sends you the confirmation
message, just reply to it and you're all set.

Other sample subscriptions might look like this:
  [EMAIL PROTECTED] (one of mine)
  [EMAIL PROTECTED] (also mine)
  [EMAIL PROTECTED] (also mine)
so, get the idea?

WARNING: you can be subscribed to both the regular and
digest versions of the list, so if the object
is the reduction of overall traffic volume, you may want
to unsubscribe from the normal list after you have signed
up for the digest version.

Howard,

Sorry for the inconvenience. We've had a sharp increase
in traffic in the last week.

I'm working with the people who host our site to handle the
lack of a digest. I'm also working with Will Baldwin (list member)
to see if we can make a "manual digest" work.

I'll keep you posted.

Best Regards,
Garry
