Looked through several pages from computer parts distributors and found that there seems to be a certain standard in the mobo connectors. On one of the pages it was though advised to check the manual in order to check if the pin outlay was according to a certain scheme. It was certainly the most expensive solution with USD 29,-- without shipping. Others offered the cable set with back plate for prices between 4 and 6 dollars. A canadian page was with less then two dollars the cheapest. With postage of good one dollar it is certainly worth a try. Could anybody tell me what could have caused the big price differences? The part is as far as I know nothing more than some wires a connector for the mobo and two USB connectors.
