I recently heard about MS-DOS V4.00, released only briefly in Europe that had multitasking capabilities.
I was wondering if anyone had it in their collections, or has tried it and could tell me if it's any good --- I've noticed some of the multitasking functions in Ralf Brown's list and have been wondering if it could multitask standard programs or if they had to be written to multitask. Anyway, I doubt it would be of much use except on an older system (due to lack of fat32 support and newer DOS 7 functions) but would still be nice to play with (and possibly disassemble and analyze, gyahaha) Btw, if anyone's interested, I wrote an unformat command in pure assembly...its 1840 bytes and is on my site under Restore/Recover...so far the reports I got were that it "worked great" but I'm still looking for bug reports. It's designed for DOS 7, though it may work on less :D - W0rm - http://jason-n3xt.org/dos __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send FREE Valentine eCards with Yahoo!
