I for one don't think you are crazy. Seem to me the only way your going to know what you like about Linux (or any open source *NIX) is to have a comparable product installed on the same computer. If your looking to Micro$oft then your only choices are Windows NT 4 or Windows 2000 Pro. The Evil Empire does do a few things correctly in NT & 2k - I like 2k better than NT <g>. But the fact you have NT on hand is a lot better reason to use it than go out and buy another operating system version and pay premium pricing just to keep MS stock at its inflated values :-) Good luck, and, please do keep us all informed as to what you like and don't like between the two operating system approaches.
