Today's latest > documentation is far superior to what it was two to fifteen years ago. > Each generation of the on-line help screens, printable documents, OEM > documentation, and aftermarket user manuals are much better than the > previous generations ...
I take the late3st XXX printer "FM" which just tells me - with an effort of approx. 5 MB - to "plug in the USB connector and click on 'My Computer' and then on..." etc. NO iformation about what the dang thing does, NO least hint to its functioning, no NOTHING if the dang thing doesn't work well (because the black ink has dried on the shelf while the beast waited to be sold to an idiot to buy the scrap.) No, no, and *NO*. I just compared the doc of a 10-year old Microtek scanner to what they same people tell/sell to-day: painful misery. (What _has_ increased to an enormous volume is the legalese of disclaimers, (R), (TM), (c) rubbish and sheer irresponsability for product quality, though.) // Heimo Claasen // <hammer at revobild dot net> // Brussels 2002-02-09 The WebPlace of ReRead - and much to read ==> http://www.revobild.net To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
