Thanks for your detailed comments. I didn't read the documentation
extensively but i think i seen mentions about configuration; it's quite
possible `XTC-Play' will fail but perhaps we should try to compare our 2
setups as one author recommended to load as few drivers as possible. :)

and that makes playback defects quite noticeable by the same occasion...

Except for .AVI, .MPG and .MOV, yes... my case as well. I have no
.AVI or .MOV files to test it with as of yet but i'm working on it. ;-)
