I don't remember ever seeing a version of Arachne written spefically for
any "5x86" class??? I think you are getting it confused with the DJPEG32
APM plugin which requires at least a 386 with extended memory and a
DPMI service provider, such as CSWDPMI. But, Arachne herself will run
happily along a 386 with 2 meg RAM, might not be fast, but it runs! I've
even had it installed on my old IBM PS2 with 1 meg total memory...run
is not a word in this instance, more like a slow walk, hehe. But, in regards
to Arachne being targeted towards a 586, or 686 etc, that isn't so. Only
a few of the "plugins" (APMs) have hardware requirements higher than
a 286. Arachne is a 16 bit DOS "real mode" application.
