Well, that was what I was referring to, that it would harvest
addresses from Outlook/OE, and then send them. If the virus is
hardcoded to look in a place that does not exist, it won't be
able to find anything.

I would sort of have to question your statement that Outlook/OE
will not allow one to alter the headers on outgoing mail
though... this was sent with OE5. Check the header on this email,
and the previous one, which I sent as a test, to see if the
header alterations would take when it was mailed.

I could probably forge as much of the header with OE5 as a
spammer or a virus can, with a little practice. All I did was
save the open reply to the desktop and edit it with a text
editor, and when I was done, hit 'Send'.
