If you are using loadlin.exe to boot BasicLinux, a 1mb DOS
partition is sufficient (although I would normally recommend
10-20mb).

If you are using LILO to boot BasicLinux, no DOS partition
is required.

I have a copy of tinyirc which appears to work with BasicLinux.
However, I have no experience with irc so I don't know if it
is doing anything useful. I'm happy to send a copy to anybody
who wants to try it with BasicLinux (it's only 18kb). If it
works, tell me and I'll add it to the add-ons.

BasicLinux comes with a primitive wordprocessor that prints
(nothing fancy, just plain text). For comprehensive printer
support you can install a package from Slackware 3.5 (using
the pkg command in BasicLinux).
