Oberon uses Oberon binaries only, no DOS emulator. It has a graphical WWW browser that is not quite finished. It's useable and functional but doesn't interpret HTML accurately. It does display webpage graphics but not always in the proper positions. No javascripting whatsoever. It uses it's own apps for POP3/SMTP, FTP, Finger, Gopher, and telnet. There are a few games, several screen savers, assist apps for writing grahpics apps using the included compiler, and a few assist apps for analyzing and debugging programs written in Oberon. Utilities to convert from Oberon text to either DOS or UNIX style text plus access to FAT files on your hard drive or diskettes. The entire screen can be edited so there is no need for a special editor for any of this. This is a multitasking GUI OS smaller than a standard W31 install would be that includes PPP dialup, and the above executables, all of the source code and the compiler. Oberon is very very small.
