NAVDX is also included in the Windows 9X version of
Norton Antivirus 4...it is a command-line only scanner,
and is installed to perform automatic scans at system
bootup, but it can be used stand-alone for scanning and
cleaning.  The DOS/Win3X version 4 contains another
command-line scanner, NAVC...highly recommended.
The update installers usually find and update even
these command-line scanners if installed by themselves.
The original question, however, was asking for a
"Resident Real-time" antivirus program for Win3X...
that's why I recommended installing NAV4 for Win3X/DOS.
