If the trend of free, available DOS code continues, that could possibly
awaken more interest in DOS development, and I'd welcome that.

In any case, what you've said may indicate why there are so many foreign
clones of Norton Commander.  Yet I still feel the NC model commends
itself to more creativity than many other sorts of DOS shells.
