I tend to be the opposite.  I want to instinctively use my machines,
rather than be forced to re-think my actions to suit the OS I am
using at the time.

DOS WP just seems faster and more text oriented.  The GUI is a distraction
_away_ from text that I don't appreciate.

Yes, the elegance of simplicity that is diminished as each 'new'
improvement is introduced.  To be referred to as 'simple' or even
'easy to learn' would embarass a software company now.  Ease of use
was originally one of the goals for software.

I've noticed that any software I describe as easy to use is
dismissed as unworthy of the time it would take to download
that software now. :-\

btw: I think I inadvertently directed you to my music webpages.
