Sounds reasonable.  Seems to me the NEC V30 gave something like
10mhz?  A 30% increase in CPU speed would be nice but with the
availability of those chips being what it probably is today that
would not be my first choice.  The other improvements I have
mentioned are available, even now, and the combined increase in
processing power would be comparable to installing the NEC chip
but at no cost.  Free is always nice. :-)
