I finally succeeded in installing Win2000 on my pc PIII . It only took me many months to work up courage....and get my hard drives backed up.
here are my questions. i looked these all up in my Win2000 Secrets book - but did not find a good answer. 1. I am logged in as administrator now. I have not set up any 'users'. I plan to set things up for three users. ONE = myself. my question is this. can i set myself up as userONE and have NO password? I am sure i could , and would probably try it...but do not want to risk screwing up. 2. When Win2000 boots up the startup screen asks me what what i want to use Win2000 or 98. How can i change this? 3. Win3.1 used to have windows' recorder for making macros. I used to use Quickeys for win98. I want to -change some keyboard keys - there is directions how to do this in WIN2000 secrets. -make hotkeys -have automatic typing a la TypeIt4Me for the mac. ok ok i could get upgrade to QK....but it is v pricey IMHO so i thought i would ask around.
