How do you check the cable and terminator ,

I usualy just run the diagnostics that caome with the card , but that will
just tell you if you have a bad cable , nothing more.

What is the procedure for checking the cable and terminators , Both Thin
ethernet(bnc) and twisted pair. I had a real nasty intermitent problems
with both a card and cable at the same time. Talk about pulling your hair.
Out of frusttration opted to upgrade to hub and 100m mg twisted pair cards.
Turned out real nice , exept for the 486 that wont run 100 mg. Cant win
them all.
